Breezy Retreat! Walk to beach/pier. Bikes too!

Great spot! Having the beach cruisers to bike around with was a big plus. It's so easy to get to the beach and lots of spots to eat nearby. Walking is totally doable but the bikes made it quicker and more fun. The apartment had lots of space and all the amenities you could need plus more. Lots of beach supplies which was so convenient. Hosts were very friendly and easy to coordinate with. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, nice neighborhood, very spacious unit. We were especially grateful for the fact this place is largely stand-alone - no one below, no shared walls, no one above, unlike a lot of other properties in this area. It was very quiet. We'd stay here again (although I wish they'd maximize use of the "kitchen" space - we had lots of great ideas to make it more workable - but that would probably garner a higher nightly rate and I thought the rate we paid was very reasonable).

I felt at home here, the pillows on the bed were like clouds. I slept like a baby and felt safe. I definitely recommend staying here.

Clean and close to good food and coffee. FYI: To walk to the beach you need to cross a 4 lane road. I’d recommend biking but you can walk for sure.

This is a fantastic place and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The bed is big and comfortable, with high quality pillows and sheets and duvet. So much is accessible on foot, you can literally walk a few blocks to the beach. Also, this worked out quite nicely for bicycling, when I wanted to go a bit further, for example to The Bookmark in Neptune Beach and the shops nearby. As an Air BNB this apartment hit a special sweet spot where the place is unique, and yet has its own personality. Also, it is close to everything in terms of shops, restaurants, and nightlife, yet is on a quiet block in a residential neighborhood. A modest yet most welcoming stock of snacks and coffee are available, and that was a nice plus to have those things on hand. The only sink is in the bathroom, but this is fine, and there are two sinks in the bathroom, so no problem. Laura was a great host, touching base once a day. Recommend and would stay here again.

Great place to stay!! So homey, you feel right at home! The place is way bigger than I expected, which gives lots of room for luggage and extra beach gear for long stays! I had a 3 week stay with them, so I came with a lot of stuff, but with such a big bedroom area, you truly have room to unpack and make the place your own retreat! The hostess checked in and was absolutely the kindest host and always so prompt and helpful! Would 100% stay again and would take this darling boho home over a hotel any day!! We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have the fully fenced-in, private yard for our dog to travel with us. The neighborhood was nice and the beach was walkable, although it would have been a bit of a walk carrying beach gear (there are bikes too) - we drove every time because the public parking was free during the week. The wifi was in and out for us - we had to hook up to our hotspot to stream.

I wouldn’t waste a second booking if you’re looking for the combination of location, amenity, friendliness, and price. Jax Beach already commands a premium, but the ability to bring my pup and be able to borrow a bike to get food on the Beach bar strip was nothing short of a lifesaver.

Perfect place for a vacation, very peaceful and beach is just a few blocks away. The place itself has everything needed to enjoy your time there, they even have bikes to ride to the beach! We will be back for sure!

The space is an above garage apartment studio. Very clean and decorated nicely, included a nice fenced in yard and bikes to use. We were about a .5 mike walk to beach and pretty much walked or biked everywhere. Lots of shops, grocery stores, and anything you’d need within 3 miles. And pet friendly! Would stay again!

I stayed at the Breezy Retreat for a work trip and it is a great spot! The hosts are wonderful and responded quickly to any messages. I would definitely stay here again!

Great choice if you plan some beach-vibe escape. A lot of things to do nearby The host did a great job preparing extra to make the stay exceptional. Bikes for those night rides or just to commute, boogie boards to try catch a wave. Regarding the place - it’s squeaky clean with everything you need throughout your stay. Even more. The first night I couldn’t unglue myself from bed. Literally feels like home. Definitely coming back.

Laura's place was PERFECT for our weekend stay in Jacksonville Beach. While we didn't use the provided bikes at all, it took less than 2 minutes to drive to the beach parking from the driveway. There is so much to do within biking/walking distance. The place was so clean and my wife and I felt right at home. We will without a doubt stay here again the next time we are in the area.

This is a great place for a weekend getaway. The beach was only 5 mins away and the host provided chairs, towels and bikes for us which was super nice. There also was a back yard area if you are traveling with a pet. The description said there was an air mattress but we didn’t see one. We reached out to the host about that she corrected the description and offered to go buy one which was great hospitality.

Very responsive host. Really cute place. Very clean, felt like a nice hotel. No stove but had an electric kettle which was perfect. Really appreciated the beach gear and bikes. We didn’t have a car so we rode bikes everywhere. 5 minute bike ride to everything. The shower stocked with good shampoo body wash and conditioner was amazing. Definitely would come back if we’re ever in the area again :)

This Airbnb was exactly what we needed for our trip to JAX! It had a great location, spacey room and bathroom, and was perfectly comfy! I will be staying here again for my next trip to town.

Laura's place was great for our one week stay in Jax Beach visiting friends and family. My husband and I both were able to work remote. The wifi was a little slow but would good overall. We loved the beach bikes to get around the beach area and the location is perfect for a scoot down to the beach for sunrise or an afternoon beach stroll after signing off work for the day. The kitchens amenities are minimal but we made it work, you have the basic fridge/microwave and disposable plates/bowls and utensils which works for easy meals like oatmeal and sandwiches etc. Backyard space is nice to just sit and relax. Sago coffee shop a few blocks away towards the beach is a solid choice for a coffee on the way to or from sunrise on the beach in the morning too :) The space is nicely kept and we would stay here again.

Thanks to our host, Laura's quick response, my sister and I didn't have to sleep in our rented car! We were desperate to find an air B&B at the last minute and Laura's response was first out of three other air B&B's! The location, price, and size was just perfect. The king bed was one of the best beds I've slept on and the linens plush! If you want a safe, affordable, quiet place - book it with Laura. you won't be disappointed! Her air B&B exceeded my expectations!

Plus the location was close and walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants as well along with a quiet neighborhood. It was also affordable. The AirBNB was gorgeous, spacious, and pristine. Although I didn't take advantage of the offer due to the rain and coolerweather, in her welcome packet, she mentioned beach bikes complete with locks available for use as well as beach chairs. I would absolutely love to stay again in the future. If this place were being rented monthly, I'd happily try to snatched it up. Thank you, Laura for the hospitality and allowing me to stay in such a beautiful place!

Ten minute walk to the beach. The beach cruisers were so fun to take for a spin and explore the area. Wish they had a basket or cell phone holders on the bikes, but if you are going to use them maybe plan to bring a backpack. There are lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops nearby. I have two students at Jacksonville University and this was a perfect location to get to see them and have a weekend adventure. The bed was super comfy and huge bathroom that was clean and well appointed. No need to bring shampoo or lotion. Thoughtful details in the kitchenette area too with cups and sugar, but there are supermarkets nearby too.

Laura’s place is in the perfect location. Jacksonville was close by and with the wake boards that were available for use, we took full advantage of the humongous waves that we met with. Learned a few things for sure, if you like big waves, great location and pleasant hosts… stay at Laura’s.

Perfect spot! The neighborhood was safe and quiet at night. It was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and bars. The space was beautifully decorated and felt very relaxing. Laura thought of everything you may need during your stay at the beach - bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, insulated cooler, portable speaker, beach towels and blankets, beach bags, an umbrella and even a skateboard! She really put in a lot of effort to make sure every amenity was provided. We enjoyed the fenced-in outdoor area at night, some additional tree lights would have been nice, but it was private and nice to have an outdoor space to enjoy the breezy Florida nights. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend Laura’s place. The only confusion we had was whether or not to strip the bed prior to leaving, I thought the booklet said to strip the linens prior to leaving, but we received a message for check-out stating not to strip them, but we already had. We would definitely book again!

Beautifully decorated, lots of “extras”, excellent location to the beach, restaurants and only minutes from Mayo! Tucked into a quiet community, Laura’s guest apt. is clean, spacious and so cozy! I felt right at home. The view of the horizon as the sun was going down while laying in bed was so nice! I highly recommend this great place for a couple’s beach get-away or an excellent option for Mayo patients! Laura went over and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect in every way! EXCELLENT host!

We loved staying at Laura’s place. She was very responsive and attentive. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfy. There was plenty of room to relax or to sit down and eat. I loved how big the bathroom was as well. Definitely recommend and the pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing is it was a bit far from the beach if you want to walk to it (is about 6-7 blocks). Laura provides bike tho so that is awesome. When we visited it was so hot there was an excessive heat warning so we chose to drive everywhere anyway so it didn’t really affect our stay. It takes like 3 min to drive to the beach so is still a perfect location. Overall a great stay and would stay here again 😀 thank you Laura!!

Was expecting a one room suite but was pleasantly surprised that the eating area was in a separate room. Did not have a full kitchen, but there was a small frig, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. We had a special circumstance and appreciated her willingness to adjust the check out time to accommodate. Bed was comfortable, spacious bathroom with double sinks. Would definitely consider this place again!

Laura place was a sweet spot that was located within perfect distance from the Mayo Clinic. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The stores are within a good distance. The home it’s self was big in size with everything you need as far as self care products and for a beach day. I quickly felt at home .

I’d recommend Laura’s place. It’s clean & in a safe neighborhood. As other reviews stated, it’s bigger than I expected. We didn’t have a car & everything was in walkable distance; the beach, restaurants, Publix, etc. Laura provided everything we needed for the beach, which is so helpful when flying in from out of state. I didn’t feel safe going across busy roads on the bikes (you pedaled backwards for the breaks and we couldn’t adjust the seat height), but it was fun for a ride around the neighborhood.

This was my first AirBNB experience and I hope this is the model for what's to come. Extremely easy going host. Great recommendations for local activities and eating establishments. The icing on the cake was the amount of beach accessories (towels, lunchbox, bikes, etc.) available for use. This was so much better than staying at a hotel. I highly recommend checking this place out. If I am ever in Jacksonville again I know where I am going to try to stay.

The pictures do not really do it justice, in my opinion. My son and I came down for an event and had plenty of space and privacy. The bed and pillows were comfortable. All listed amenities were available and very nice. She stayed in communication to make everything was going fine. Would definitely book with her again.

Pictures didn't do justice this place! It's spacious, and super clean and comfortable. It's a nice bachelor apartment the way it's set up. Beautifully decorated with a boho, beachy vibe. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. Plenty of dresser and closet storage for both of us.
